Zia Hasan is a Bangladeshi-Canadian ESL and Cross-Cultural Communication Coach, trainer and digital storyteller based in Edmonton, Alberta.

Three decades of practical teaching

Zia began his communication training journey in 1996. Since then, he has trained learners, bankers, professionals, educators and leaders from diverse backgrounds.

From 2005 to 2017, he served as a Contractual English Trainer at the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka. After moving to Canada, he continued his work in ESL education, curriculum development, interpretation, career coaching and community education.

His teaching philosophy is simple: communication should be practical, respectful and useful in real life.
